GoHighLevel has three main plans: Starter at $97 a month, Unlimited at $297, and Agency Pro (sold as SaaS Pro) at $497. There is also an Enterprise tier that is quoted individually. That part takes one sentence.
The part that takes the rest of this article is that the subscription is not what GoHighLevel costs you. Texts, calls and email are billed on top of it by usage. The AI features cost extra. Some add-ons run another few hundred a month. And none of it does anything until someone sets it up properly. Below is what each plan includes, what sits outside the pricing page, and which plan a local business actually needs — which is usually not the one you get pushed toward.
Prices below are GoHighLevel's published rates as of September 2026. GoHighLevel changes them from time to time, so confirm the current figures on the official pricing page before you buy.

| Unlimited | $297 | $2,970 | Agencies running many client accounts |

Starter — $97 a month
Starter includes the core of the platform: the CRM, the website and funnel builders, and pipelines. It is capped at three sub-accounts, which is the detail that decides whether it fits you.
A sub-account is a separate workspace for one business, with its own contacts, pipeline and phone number. If you are one business running your own marketing, you need one sub-account. Three is plenty. That cap only becomes a problem when you are managing marketing for other businesses.
Right for: a roofing company, an HVAC contractor, a plumber, a dental practice, an insurance agency — any single business running its own leads and follow-up.
Unlimited — $297 a month
Unlimited removes the sub-account ceiling, adds API access, and includes a white-label desktop app. It is built for agencies that run GoHighLevel for many clients and want each one in its own workspace.
The jump from $97 to $297 buys you almost nothing if you only have one business to run. The extra is the ability to add client accounts without limit, and the API for custom integrations.
Right for: marketing agencies managing more than three client accounts, or a business that genuinely needs API access for a custom integration.
Agency Pro (SaaS Pro) — $497 a month
This tier lets an agency resell GoHighLevel as its own branded software, with automated rebilling that can add a markup on top of the underlying costs. In practice it turns the platform into a product the agency sells under its own name.
Right for: agencies whose business model is selling software subscriptions to clients. If you run a trade business, this plan is not aimed at you at all.
Monthly or annual?
Paying annually costs ten months' worth of the monthly price — $970 instead of $1,164 for Starter, for example. That is roughly two months free.
The saving is real, but only take it once you know the platform will stick. Paying a year upfront for software you have not configured yet is how a lot of GoHighLevel accounts end up as expensive, unused logins. Run it monthly until it is producing leads, then switch.
The costs that are not on the pricing page
This is where GoHighLevel budgets go wrong. The subscription covers the software. It does not cover most of what the software does for you.
Usage: texts, calls and email
Phone calls, SMS and email sent through GoHighLevel's built-in communication layer are billed separately, from a prepaid usage wallet, on a pay-per-use basis. Email through LC Email is priced at $0.675 per 1,000 emails.
For a business using GoHighLevel for exactly what it is good at — missed-call text-back, two-way texting with leads, review requests after every job — usage is not a rounding error. It scales with how many leads you get and how much you talk to them. A busy season costs more than a quiet one. Budget for it as a variable monthly cost, not a one-off.
This usage layer is the part called Lead Connector, and we explain what it covers in our guide to Lead Connector CRM.
AI features
GoHighLevel's conversation, content and workflow AI tools carry their own token-based or monthly fees, depending on how they are configured. They are not included in the base plan.
Add-ons
Some capabilities are sold separately. HIPAA compliance runs $297 a month, which matters for medical and dental practices handling patient data. A white-labelled mobile app is $497 a month, which matters to agencies and almost nobody else.
A2P registration for texting
If you text customers in the US from a business number, carriers require A2P 10DLC registration. Unregistered numbers get messages filtered or blocked without warning. This is a setup step, and skipping it is the most common reason a GoHighLevel account “works” but never delivers a single text.
The cost nobody lists: getting it set up
GoHighLevel out of the box is an empty workspace. It does not know your services, your intake questions, your follow-up messages or your pipeline stages. Somebody has to build all of that before the first lead is handled properly.
You have two routes, and both cost something:
- Set it up yourself. The subscription is the only cash cost, but the time is real. Expect a meaningful number of hours learning the builder, configuring the phone number and A2P registration, writing your automations, and fixing what breaks. For a business owner, those are hours not spent on jobs.
- Have it set up for you. You pay for the build, and in return you get an account that handles leads correctly from day one. This is what our GoHighLevel setup service does, and it is the route most businesses take after one attempt at doing it themselves.
Either way, the honest total cost of GoHighLevel in the first month is the subscription, plus usage, plus the setup — in time or in money.
Which plan do you actually need?
A lot of GoHighLevel pricing content is written by affiliates, who earn a commission on your subscription. Bigger plans pay bigger commissions, which is worth knowing when a review steers you toward Unlimited or SaaS Pro.
The straight answer for most readers:
- You run one business — Starter. You will not use the sub-account headroom or the reselling features you would be paying for on the bigger plans.
- You run marketing for more than three other businesses — Unlimited.
- You want to sell GoHighLevel under your own brand — Agency Pro.
If you are a trade business owner, you are almost certainly in the first group. Start on Starter. You can upgrade later without rebuilding anything.
Is GoHighLevel worth it?
For a local service business, GoHighLevel is worth it when it replaces several tools you are already paying for and when it is actually configured. It combines a CRM, funnels, a website builder, calendar booking, two-way texting and review requests in one place. If you were paying separately for three or four of those, the Starter plan can come out cheaper than your current stack.
It is not worth it when it is bought and left half set up. The platform does nothing on its own. The value comes entirely from the missed-call text-back, the follow-up sequences and the review requests being built and switched on. An unconfigured GoHighLevel account is $97 a month spent on a login.
If you are weighing it against field service tools like Jobber or Housecall Pro, they solve a different problem. We break that down in our guide to choosing a home services CRM.
Is there a free trial?
GoHighLevel offers a free trial — currently advertised as 30 days on some offers. Use it to answer one question: can you get the phone number, a basic pipeline and a missed-call text-back working before it ends? If you can, you will get value from the paid plan. If the trial runs out and none of that is live, that tells you the setup is the real obstacle, not the price.
The short version
- Starter is $97 a month and is the right plan for almost every single business.
- Texts, calls, email and AI are billed on top, by usage.
- Annual billing saves about two months, once you know it is working.
- The biggest real cost is setup, whether you pay in time or in money.
If you want GoHighLevel set up correctly the first time — phone number, A2P registration, pipeline, missed-call text-back and review requests — that is exactly what we build.
